Description
well he/ she is not a human. But it does save this rose from being eaten. So in a way is is a hero haha. I took this picture with a Nikon D5100 18-55 kit lens....its all I got lol. I also used my work flash light to get the lighting I wanted. I wanted these shots to feel personal. As if it was just the rose and spider. I did not photoshop this picture. Hope you enjoy!

I admire any artist who wishes to convey a sense of the "personal" with a rose and a spider. As spiders are so misunderstood, "being personal" with them is a rather cool thing: and to top it off, it's a gorgeous spider of a breed I scarcely see in Chicago. Brilliant, deliciously moody shot!

The lighting in this photo IS beautiful. Just be careful with depth of field. Make it as deep as possible. I mean f16 to f22. You are on the track with your composition. It's lovely. I hope this is helpful. Cheers Pam
