STARDATE 3141.9.....Having picked up a faint distress signal we are making for the Mutara Sector. We have been following a trail of 'debris' for 3 light years, the debris field is made up entirely of late 20th century beer bottles. Chief engineer Macintyre has rigged a tractor beam to take them on board, however the cargo deck is now full, as is the shuttle bay, the rec deck and all spare locker space. I have instructed Mr Macintyre to shovel them into the anti-matter pods, to get rid of them, this may take some time.....we are now approaching a late 20th century, DY-100 spacecraft....S'rank has had little luck with the data banks...
S'rank : "There is little information available Captain!, the last DY-100's were built towards the end of a period of Earth history called 'The Brewery Wars'...."
Henry : "Yes, I remember!, the Earths population were turning away from beer, they wanted new, exciting drinks like 'cocktails' and 'spritzers'... The brewery's spent millions of old dollars to get people back and they put additives in the beer to make it more addictive....."
S'rank : " Indeed, but their efforts led to some nasty side effects, a race of hardened drinkers....your world fell victim to a group of alcoholics, Super Lush's if you will...."
Henry : " Yes, but they all died from liver failure within a decade!!..."
S'rank : "Not quite Captain, when the Hubub died down there where still several unaccounted for...."
Henry : " The history books don't recount THAT part !"
S'rank : " Would you disclose to a beer addled populace the existence of 30 or 40 W.C. Fields?....
R'adar : " Captain....sensors are picking up life signs...very faint...."
Henry : " S'rank you have the Bridge, have Doctor Hoolihan and Chief engineer Macintyre meet me in the transporter room.....Ohhhh and get hold of that Historian, what's her name? it's about time she did a bit of work........."
My favourite Star Trek episode may never be the same again.........this'll be in a few parts.....how true to the original??......you've got to be joking!!!
Thanks to Excalpro and Mylochca and Ironman13, who's late night bar props will have a big part in this....beginning with all them beer bottles....( If you're going to liken this image to the opening of Star Trek Generations....well! they must have launched this one in Liverpool :-)

Well if it were launched in Liverpool the starship would have drunken topless 20 somethings flashing out of the windows and the bottles would be bacardi breezers lol. One of my favorite episodes too and one that also gave us the excellent ST:TWOK film :)

Oh, silly me! I thought the space tourists had beaten them to the punch! Nice to be back on-line. My Internet connection was down for 4-5 days! Drat! I felt SO handicapped without it! It's even more addictive than space(d out) beer! Fun picture. I think I see where this is going! Keep up the good work! Any spoof on Star Trek is a good/fun spoof! Especially if it's from a certain bloke in the UK! Cheers! A dead tired T.Rex! :-)
