Description
Captured 4/18/13, very early morning, about 1.2 miles from my abode.
Since I had no access to the interior, the camera was positioned over the fence to acquire this POV.
Much better via ZOOM.
Allaismalardik, and have a nice day.

I'm amazed at the detail of the "iron works" you captured here. Nice shot!

Wow, what a beautiful design that shadow takes in the early light; the stretching of the shape really adds to it! If I had that gate on my house I'd spend an awful lot of time photographing it at different times of day and night! Great work, Harry!

isn't it awful when you find a great place and then you have to maneuver yourself into a pretzel to get a good shot? Or peer over the top of a heavy fence? But the pov gave you not only a fascinating contrast of door vs fence/gate, but a big bold sweep of fence-shadow, as well as one side of the fence all compressed due to perspective (ie, the right side). Like a harp... Lots of contrast in one shot, with the fanned shadow as the middle. And it also gave you sun-flare, which 'graces' the shot with its approval. The light along the top of the right-side gate is lovely; and the car wheels in the background (left) add blue jewels to the shot. And ultimately it's all bathed in that signature early-light that you so often get (and which that I never get in my shots), being very intense, infused with sandy-white tones, and feeling as-yet-untouched by the bustle of the coming day. Very clear and articulate, the music of a simple gate...and the flare spreads dabbles of reds, greens and pinks across the metal...
