Description

This is my mom. For the last 6 months she had been battling for her life. Last Sunday I went to see her at the hospital right before she was transferred to a rehab center in Lubbock tx. She was happy, smiling, cracking jokes, so like how she used to be> She even told us, I'm getting up out of this bed tomorrow and coming home! She went to lubbock on monday. And yesterday, she passed away on me from congestive heart failure that wasn't diagnosed by the hospital, even though she was in there for almost 3 months. I know none of you knew her, and yes we had our problems. but these last 4 years, she really tried to be better. She was getting back to being happy again. She had so much brightness, and so many ideas she wanted to implement. Now I am having a struggle just trying to get her home to lay her to rest next to my dad. None of you knew her, but I wish you could have. I love you mom. Always and forever.

What a wonderful photograph! So full of joy and life and fun. It makes me smile just to see it. Sorry to hear she's gone ... she looks like she knew how to have a good time!

thank you all so much. I chose this one for just that reason. i wanted to remember her happy> Although there is one other of her here in the hospital when she was in the ICU. And yeah, she really was a character!
