At that point in our life, the answer was easy. The result was a trail of sodden work clothes from the door to the refrigerator - the ice-cold beers tasted like nectar from heaven!
It was long ago, BC - Before Children! We both worked in downtown LA and commuted from an outlying community. But on this day, our normal 40 minute commute back home turned into sheer torture on an unseasonably hot day. Stop and go traffic was hard enough on cars already, but the oven-like heat had cars stalled everywhere.
We must have both had the same idea, talk about a mad scramble as we burst through the door! As always, she was one step ahead of me and snagged the chair under the fan, too. (It was a ceiling fan, but I liked this old fashioned table model when I composed the scene.)
I was playing with new toys, lighting, poses and such when the scene at hand triggered a memory of a long ago event and I simply couldn't resist.

One of the new toys was Andromeda from Mihrelle. If there was one thing I didn't think I needed, it was another V4 character LOL! But this character was absolutely stunning and I had to have it when I saw it. Wonderful high quality tex, even in extreme closeups (and I will do one soon) and a nice little library of expressions, too. It almost seemed a shame to "mess it up" with my wet skin tweaks, but I think it looks great anyway. Highly recommended. In this case, she is mapped onto Steph 4 instead of V4 as I like the body proportions better.
Bechet Braids hair from Daz
Bottle from one of Mapps sets, new shader by me
Vintage Table Fan from Content Paradise
Table from an old set, new shaders by me
"Room" is primitive planes with my own shaders
Update: Somebody asked so here is the gearhead stuff:
- Rendered using Carrara's "indirect" lighting model.
- One strong bluish-white spot from the right to simulate daylight through a window.
- One weak bluish-white spot behind the camera to simulate scatter from the window.
- One yellow-white bulb (point) at the lamp.
- Wet skin accomplished by using Carrara "cellular" natural function to increase specular in spots.
- Wet bottle also uses "cellular" specular but also bump, too, to simulate condensation.

I love the heat. 128* in the high desert is not all that unusual. Good for the old bones. Shade? No trees. Lol. Cool (?) render. ")
