Captured 4/18/13, early morning, within a mile of my abode.
Okay, not as spectacular as the surgery performed on and removal of Andrea's Western Red Cedar, but I thought I would toss in my humble contribution while we were on the subject.

Excellent detail in the wood grain, Harry. I wonder if the branch was just in the way or if it was diseased? I hope it doesn't make the tree sick. Very good shots, as always!
