Description

Brantome is another beautiful French village. It's known as the Venice of the Perigord, because the main part of the town is situated between two branches of the Dronne river, effectively making it an island...

Nicely done Claude...no wasted space between the curb and the buildings. Europe has a feel that we don't have here...you've captured that feel. Thanks for taking me back.

I miss Europe! Those old tight spaces that teach humans how to actually live with their neighbors. I miss the grime, the mold, the black stuff of inscrutable pedigree that seems to exist as a kind of architectural wallpaper on everything. I miss cobblestones and signs in a language I scarcely understand, and this image brings all of that back to me...in French (rather than in Czech, but French and Czech both bounce around on the tongue, though French does it with a bit more moisture.) I really like the mood of this image. Nothing seems rushed. Nothing seems out of place and overly grandiose. Everything is simply an element of everyday life. I like that feeling, especially when it's so beautifully and quietly presented.

An island in a stream, sounds kind of like a song. Kind of like that idea. Here we separate houses and apartments. In features that architectural, a more differentiate the homes many European city homes are a continuous blocks of connected houses. social and subtitle environment One notices the smaller. Well done .

I love this shot, but this is definitely not somewhere I would want to live. It looks like a prison.

Marvelous work, great in contrast, colour and a good feel to it, if the cars hadn't been there it would sure look like a 'Anton Pieck' painting! Thx for sharing!

The palette of colour is so rich here, and the whole gives an impression of being some kind of art print. Very well done!
