Description
Aucuba japonica, commonly called Spotted laurel or Japanese laurel is a shrub native to rich forest soils of moist valleys, thickets, by streams and near shaded moist rocks in China and Japan.
This male flower on the plant in my garden is only 12 mm across the widest point, hence the lack of sharpness from my Tizzy! I think it still looks beautiful.

What a graceful little thing! I love the almost fleshy feeling this has. The symmetry is quite eye-appealing as well. I love the muted sense of color and the way this inspires me to think about something involving...well...aliens with skin in this particular shade.
