Description
Marks waited for help to arrive, all the while continuing to seek out and pull nearly dead men from the water. When the plane's fuselage was full, survivors were tied to the wing with parachute cord. Marks and his crew rescued 56 men that day.

That's a pretty amazing story. Tying the survivors to the wing...wow. That was probably pretty scary, but better by a longshot than being eaten by sharks or the opposite, starving to death. Nice work on this story.

I saw a progarm on the Military Channel on this vey thing. These would have made great visual supplimentary material for the parts that were not photographed. I can only think of Ken Burns style of story telling. Great job.

There was a movie as well: "Mission of the Shark". Conspiracy theorists maintain that the "Indy" was intentionally sent without anti-sub escort into waters known to be patrolled by IJN submarines...

I'd never heard this much of the story before... talk about ingenuity! Wow. I'm still in awe of the scene creation too! My laptop would melt!
