Description

Finally uploaded my new girl, Clarice, here at Rendo and didn't have room to include this in her product page promos. I'd originally started to do this image with my other character, Isobel, but never got round to finishing it. Mostly because I was burnt out from working on her for too long, but also because I couldn't get the background how I wanted it. The original idea was to have a WWII era plane taking off and text saying "Go Get 'Em Boys! Love Isobel/Clarice", but yeah, that wasn't happening. So the next idea was to have some curtains in the background. That could have been possible if Reality 3 for Poser wasn't flaking out on me and not importing stuff, like her hair and the damn mesh lights. :shakefist: So after setting the scene up again in Daz I decided to try something out, just for shits and giggles. There's a wonderful Pinup scene by lilflame over at RDNA (lilflame does gorgeous content BTW), and one of the props for that scene is a box with a piece of silk/satin draped over it. Once you enlarge that prop to about 300 or so percent in Daz, you get a nice improvised curtain. Change the colour in the diffuse channel to whatever tickles your fancy and render. While I was doing some research on 1930's -40's pinups, I learned that pinup girls weren't really supposed to be some kind of idealised beauty. Instead they were supposed to be more girl-next-door types who would inspire the guys at war to do their job but come home safe and sound. I guess the idea would also be that they represented the normal girl who they would come home to marry, have kids with and generally keep their country strong... and free. If you look at the pinup girls of that era, you realise that they ain't some scrawny bint. So, not to stroke my ego or anything, but my girls, Clarice and Isobel, are really ideal as pinup girls as they were designed to be more regular looking and also be fuller figured. Which is why I'm planning on doing more pinup work with them now that Clarice has been uploaded, and I'm under strict instruction from my partner to take a bit of a break and do some artwork, before starting on character number three. Sounds good to me! Plus it means I get to play with Cheesecake. Mmmmm... Cheesecake! ;) Created using Daz Studio 4.5, Reality 2.5 + Luxrender 1.2 Thanks for looking!

Thank you very much, GrandmaT. Greatly appreciated :) She's not without her imperfections, but to my mind, that only makes her more real.
