ok, I'll do another single flower painting! In this, the petals are filled with a very active brush, very active in the number of times you apply it, in the striations of color from strong pressure and motion, in the rush of colors you apply---and I realize this is digital, but I'm speaking in physical terms because it really feels that way. Your hues are rushed-on as if the flower were pulsing towards a destination---up and into the 'spirit' realm above. (See? More chakric energies!) Those center petals are filled with fine lines and rushing energies. And then, on the right side, you have a bunch of white petals shooting out like vectors, like the 'tail' of the flower, pointing backwards from the wind and energy left-over from the flower itself. (It almost feels like a rocket-back.) And the leaves and background on the left of the flower---above it---are aflame; and lord, the pink and peach hues that make their way to the upper left corner---what a burst of sensual energy and beauty. (The lower leaves rush forward too.) This is a flower in a spiritual-hurry: It's not waiting for inner knowledge, it's rushing head-first into it. Your shadows, btw, are done beautifully; and I like that you have bits of the stamens peeking out, as if to take a peek before they rush back inside to avoid the energy around them. A powerful flame-like vision of the peony. (The name comes from the Greek god of healing; or one of them at least. This is very healing; but, for me at least, it's the kind of herb or medicine one would want to be resting for, because it really is filled with energies.) Beautifully done. And again, wonderful to see a single flower from you...
