My name is Sean Michael Stone. I'm part of a rather privledged class. We can travel pretty much at will and whereever we wish with little fear of trouble. We are generally received with open arms and gifts. Our room and board are free as are our traveling supplies. You see, I am a scholar and scholars are held in high esteem by even the most barbaric. It is no surprise that I became a scholar. My mother and father are scholars. My father is a historian and my mother concentrates on biology and chemistry. I was trained from an early age in these fields as well as astronomy and math. As scholars, we do not seek to discover new things. Rather, we seek to rediscover the knowledge which was lost in "The Cleansing". Much of this is accomplished through the discovery and study of ancient texts. These are few and far between. Most of the books were destroyed by the catastrophe and many more were burned for fuel in the years that followed. Today, books are one of the most valued possessions you can own. There are rumors of entire libraries still intact. While this is most certainly untrue, it is every scholar's hope and dream to stumble across such an important find. It is that hope that drives me to travel from town to town and tavern to tavern. Perhaps, before I die, God will favor me with such a discovery. This is the third in my Post-Apocalypse series.
