Description
Erzulie has summoned the lwa and made her offering of a cigar and rum. She half dances as she waits...and then it happens. The lwa has come and taken possession of her, like a rider takes possession of a horse. When one is possessed by the lwa, one is being 'ridden' by the lwa. At this time, the lwa 'partakes' of the offerings...which is really a rather practical way to do it.
