My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

maybe not?! LOL Great capture Tara - Tarahill?

Maybe the pitting is caused by the burning? I wonder if it still works if there's no town to have a fire for it to extinguish. This is really great. Pitting is beautiful. The light is fantastic too.

Very old piece of metal. Nice clear photo Tara.

Wonder if the local dogs had anything to do with those pits?

Apparently this was the only hydrant in town..... :-) A wonderful detail shot of this old hydrant, Tara!

Superb capture Tara. God bless.

Another title "Endurance". It looks in fair shape for its age. Nicely seen, especially with the flowers in the background. I can't believe the town burned and everyone just shrugged their shoulders and walked away. Apparently "Oh well" is not a modern expression.

Inspired juxtaposition!

Nice shot! And Chip's question is a good one; I think you need to go back and try to turn that valve open!

A hydrant that didn't do its job!! Nice shot.

I'm with everyone else!!! Go open the hydrant. Next photo we want to see you running through the water!! Really cool textures on that.

Oh, oh. Great light and contrast. Deep sharpness on iron texture. Well done

Nice capture. Choice of shots is everything and you make such great choices!!

The juxtaposition of the old pitted iron hydrant against the wild greenery and the flowers really makes it stand out. It may be old, it may be pitted, but it looks like it has another couple of centuries left in it. Great capture!

LOL! Tara :-) Super shot of this old and rusty fellow, standing there with his chain dripping nose. Bet he could have told alot of exciting stories.

A very old hydrant then.... We can assume its not in use anymore by the looks.. Great detailing, even better in zoom! Sorry, I've been so very busy.. I'll catch up on your posts soon Rob
