Description
Cortez, Colorado. The night we camped in Cortez we had the choice of a mountain view or a wetlands view. We had seen so many mountains during the preceding several weeks in Utah that we took the wetlands view and walked around the perimeter enjoying the birds just before sunset.

The pond surprises me - not in my memories of Cortez, CO. Must agree that in the Four Corners area, surface water would be a welcome sight.

This is a gorgeous shot. So serene and peaceful, and I have to say, that's one proud goose standing there on the right. This is fantastic. It's got mood for miles and I can almost hear the hushed sounds of nature. I like this a lot!
