Description

One day, about 5 years ago, I saw a girl come in to my work, and I felt something I've never felt before. Her beauty just floored me. It wasn't like I just saw a beautiful girl and I didn't know how to act or whatever, It just--her mere presence just pierced me unlike anything I've ever felt. And I know I'll probably never see her again, and she may never know what I felt, or maybe she shared that moment in time. But it was something oddly spiritual I don't think I can ever forget. This poem is about as well as I can explain it. Ever by Caleb Myers It wasn't love or even lust; something ethereal Have you ever wanted to live in someone's gaze To fall asleep with the very thought of them. A perfect stranger. Not thinking. Just the idea of their presence with you there The eyes, the lips something vaguely sensual Arousing the mind independent of the body Transcending the physical As if the world were an ocean, and for that moment you realize how it feels to breathe Through your own lungs.
