Actually, bison are making a comeback in the US and Canada. However, their numbers are still fairly low. Several Native American tribes are beginning to raise their own herds on their reservations. In Kansas, we have a small herd at a State Wildlife Refuge and have had it ever since I was a teenager, which was a loooonnnng time ago!
