Near my sister's apartments, she and I passed these lovely flowers - we don't know what they are but they smell wonderful. if anyone has an idea of what they are, please tell me?

Yup. As mentioned earlier ... Wisteria. I have two different ones growing on my pagoda over my walkway. White and purple - just like the one you display here. It took many years for mine to get old enough to blossom but they bloom beautifully every year now for the last 5 or 6 years.GREAT photo of this gorgeous Japanese Wisteria Mike.
