My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

Either are vast and mind-boggling! Like the B&W treatment!

Remember when I went on and on and on about that movie, Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone? Well, The filmed the exteriors in and around Moab. I really like this. Geology is so dramatic, and I can definitely understand what you say about being able to get your head around this. It does have a kind of intimate feel to it, or at least a gentler feel. I think it's because the Grand Canyon has more jagged business going on, but from what I can see here, this is softer, more curvy, with a little bit of nice, haze action going on in the distance. This rocks!

Wow that's amazing. Very nice shot

I like the B/W treatment of the photo Tara.

Great shot Tara. I love the Grand Canyon, and yes, I can kind of understand what you mean, in that, this would be more intimate. Perhaps its because it's not as high as the GC, with the CO River flowing miles below, making it difficult to actually see the actual size of it. I'm explaining this bad. But what can I say, I'm on my first cup lol

Excellent shot. This is some trip you are taking.

Having spent a good part of my life hiking, biking, driving and boating the Colorado river system, what really makes it stand out are the colors and how the sum plays off them. This is a great shot. The pov couldn't be better!

This is amazing, and judging from that truck road, pretty vast, indeed! A fantastic capture of this alien-looking landscape, Tara!

One word: Otherworldly...or is that two words? That was a park of fantastic views...IMHO quite different on opposite sides of the mesa. Like this in monotone.

It looks to me like the land split and pulled apart; what a beautiful curve that canyon took! Wonderful shot!
