well I'm back for more comments...I'm unfortunately not able to leave as many on RR, this time, as I did, last time; only because I'm not here as long...but I'll try to do several of yours, as you already know how much I love your gallery and your eye... I was drawn to this when it went up, it's a beautiful capture. You have so many 'layers' of nature in it, from the flower, to the very articulate leaves (wonderful decay-spots and hairs and those buds---very 'visceral', you got the details really well). To the big purple stalks, etc. And yet you caught the flower right in the center, it holds it all together. I don't have all the words, but your flower captures have a gentle monumentality to them. They really have Presence. And this is a perfect example. You know how to place your camera, where to shoot, the kind of light you want, etc etc. And while the flower is fragile and delicate, it still manages to hold the 'center' of the whole image, with that stalk behind it covering the entire picture. Very fine work. And I'm sorry about your struggles with your ankle...I know this was back in May, but I hope you're doing a lot better now. (And btw, happy birthday to you! It was the end of July, right? July 31st, somewhere around there? I wasn't on RR at that time, but I meant to wish you a happy birthday. Well, I hope you have a wonderful heart-filled year, with lots and lots of inspiration and beauty at your side...)
