Description

Venice. The Frari’s Basilica. The Choir. The front of the choir is enshrouded by an Istrian stone structure added in 1475. The Virgin and St. John, by Vittore Gambello known as Camelio (1460-1537), are positioned on top of the grand central arch and flank the stark Crucifix, attributed to Andrea Verrocchio (1436-1488).
