Description

I made a dyptych of these two shots, because they are same subject, but taken as the pheasant was passing the house and walking to the stone fence. Later I will post a shot of him sitting on the stone fence having a bigger view over his field property :) ZOOM for more details. I might be late on commenting. My body hurts of hard work all day yesterday and most of today too. Both from work on my workspace and garden work. Moving heavy stuff and so on. OUCH! I am getting old :))) Have a beautiful day/evening. We had the last wonderful day and weather today for a while. During the night, they promise thunder and rain and then rain for days :-/// Well, the soil is dry outside. We need the rain. So unfortunately I cannot work in the garden the next days :)= Thank you for viewing and commenting :-) IL BE BACK !!!

What fun to have this brilliant fellow for a neighbor! I'm sure he feels the next-door field belongs to him ... :P

Two fantastic captures. Until a few years ago there were also many pheasants here. Now we see no more, unfortunately.

Such a handsome bird! Their voices are so strange...they sound like rusty door hinges mated with fax machines. I wonder how they do that! It's a fascinating sound, not entirely unpleasant, just...well...alien! We actually have these in the Chicago area. And like their Danish cousins, they're handsome and they strut. This gentleman has such a nice strut. These are perfect shots!
