Description
The Salvador Dali Museum is located in St. Petersburg, Florida, U.S., and houses the largest collection outside Europe of the works of Salvador Dali. It is located on the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront on One Dali Boulevard. The new, larger and more hurricane secure museum opened on January 11, 2011 at 11AM. The museum's collection includes 96 oil paintings, over 100 watercolors and drawings, 1,300 graphics, photographs, sculptures and objects of art, and an extensive archival library, and displays are periodically rotated. The museum is home to 7 of the 18 masterwork paintings by Dal� (including The Hallucinogenic Toreador and The Discovery of America by Christopher Columbus), the most of any museum in the world. To be considered a masterwork these paintings must be at least 5 feet in any direction and have been worked on for over a year. No photos allowed in the galleries. Info from Wikipedia. very nice capture dana and a great information ,wish i will have the oportunity to visit it. 42 years ago i have seen one of dali painting called santiago el grande [ st james] the saint is on a white horse wich stand on its rear legs, all of this was in a real scale with fine details.i will never forget
