Description
A straight fantasy portrait this time. Talora is my character in the roleplaying game adaptation of the Dragon Age video game. Talora is a City Elf--although she spends most of her time outside the cities. No surprise, as this is one fantasy setting where elves aren't treated very well. But she does have her hound, Swift, and the other player characters, a dwarf and a human mage. (Two other groups looked down on, for the most part.) This image will accompany my Gaming Security Agency write-up of Talora.
This is another project that didn't take long, just 2 evenings. (No thanks to my computer, which has become quite troublesome lately.) I used Daz's V4 Ranger outfit and hair. The models are Stephanie 4 with Pixieluna's Enelya morphs and mats applied and a scaled-up Millenium Dog. Dinoraul's Dry Tree, right behind Talora and Swift, added some creepy to the scene. (Dry Tree and Enelya are Rendo freebies. Thanks, artists!)
I wanted darker lighting as Dragon Age is dark fantasy. Spacer_01 recommended I use either the Moonlight light or just drop the light levels drastically on the distant light. Moonlight was too dark, so went back to the distant light, setting it about 35%. I was quite pleased that the Enelya mat didn't look plastic or over-shiny--a problem I often run into when I don't use the Carrara gen 4 skin shaders--even before I dropped the light levels. I was also pleased with the MilDog mats with no additional tweaking. No post work other than cropping and signature

Sorry I haven't been around much lately. We moved to an apartment a month or so ago, when my late mother-in-law's property was sold, and have been getting settled in. I'll be putting up a couple flower shots the next couple of days, and I am also hoping to get a picture or 2 of the local rabbits. There are at least 3 "regulars" who hang around outside our unit.
