Description

Churn is a tug operated by the UK Environment Agency. It has seen many years of service being originally acquired by the Thames Conservancy before that was subsumed into Thames water (Conservancy Division) prior to privatisation of the water companies. Next, it was taken over by the National Rivers Authority before that body was merged into the Environment Agency. I have asked for any details of length of service and technical specifications from the agency waterways department but have not yet heard anything back. Still, as I work for the company as well, I can keep nagging until I get the information. :-) ------------------------------------------ Original Photograph 1 May 2013
