Description
Studying light and shadows and comparing various rendering engines. Rendered in DAZ Studio 4.5 via Reality 2.5 plugin by Pret-a-3d to LuxRender. Trying to go for realism. Everything in the scene is a 3d model there is no backdrop photo. Only post work was to resample.

Ohh, great image, looking at your other artwork we seem to share the same thoughts re scene settings or is that just a love of the marvel of stone -mason? reality 2.5 has really sparked up daz, even if you do partial renders for manipulation. tell me how are you uploading as my images seem to come out blurry even though in gimp or photoshop they are crystal clear?

Fantastic realism. This guy has an incredible, expressive face...and he's not your typical poser character. He looks as if he has depth and humanity. Whether that humanity is good or bad doesn't matter. It's there and he's not just some random puppet. This is really well done and wonderfully realistic.

Nice exercice of lighting. It looks good. In particular the background is very impressive. Good POV. The only thing that I miss (really an opinion, no more) is some DOF in this scene and maybe some barrel distorsion. Its a great image an very well done. Five stars Cheers. //JL

Another truly great render mate. Reality is a super tool to use with Lux but boy, the time it takes to render! The results are worth it though if you can stick with it! He has just the right amount of sinister menace about him - great!
