Description
Captured 5/13/13, early in the morning, somewhere within the vast expanse of the neighborhood.
I tried getting another POV from the right side, but my shadow got in the way, completely engulfing the subject matter.
It has cooled off considerably from yesterday's unseasonable scorcher, which is a welcome relief.
Ta-ta, and have a nice day.

Neat and clean, non-rusted, not peeling; wonderful composition in this capture, Harry, and I'm glad you've cooled down. Weird weather all over, eh?

Ditto... And this lock & mechanism is in better condition than some of your other captures.

Having been in love with your crazed, wild, decayed, wonderfully rotted and street-fair-like padlock shots, with all their dance and contrasts, when this thing went up I did a double take. It's so smooth! I can see that the wall behind has striations in it' but your light makes it very smooth and rich. The wall (or door) curves sensually; and the simple lines around the lock are wonderfully rich. It looks like it could be a sculpture in a museum, because of the sheer curves and rich greens. And the shadows are terrific too. Minimal, and so bold; and I love that you gave the long shadow on the left (where two pieces of wall meet): A fine accent to the greenness of it all. A terrific contrast to the many detailed padlock shots you've given us. And the gold (the padlock) is a total standout. Love it.
