Description

Say hello to my little friend. It likes to hang out with me on the porch. I can take pictures of it and it will sit on me. It darts for me as soon as I walk out the door or come in the fence. I was able to get really close up, you can see the little hairs and it opened it's wings up for me. You can see the pollen on it's feet.

It doesn't surprise me as much as it probably should that you have a butterfly friend. :) Creatures in your vicinity seem to be attracted to you, and I don't think it's because you're covered in pollen! LOL! This is a beautiful bit of life, and I'm happy it's found you to spend time with. :) (Good to see you, dear one. I hope all is well in your world ...)

Just the perfect pose.....It might not be taking off but looks like it..I also saw pollen on its legs on the upper part.... You must be an empath with animals....sorta like how some people can see ghost and feel them......you have this ability with animals....in tara's post as she says they seem to be attracted to you...they know you won't hurt them...All animals are this way with you? Even dogs and cats...now it would be neat to get a hummingbird to tune into you and sit on your finger....That would be a neat pic to get.... One of my first views of yours...looking at what's new in the gallery and I am finding some neat images and learning lots........and saw this......I love flowers..animals and butterflys..So it's nice to meet you.........Hope you come visit me in my gallery. I don't get out much due to my health.......should be in bed now...............Chemo today is today and I need to be up at 7 and its now 1:30am....I am allergic to mornings..LOL I like to sleep in until at least 10:30,11;00 or sometimes even 12 noon.....i might as well stay up and sleep thru chemo 4 1/2 hr treatment...I usually do with the other meds they are giving me...been fighting this since 94 and its spread..been in remission and now it's back again..............started in breast went to colon....lung bones...now back to breast to lung.........and my hair just started falling out this week...this will be my 3rd treatment missed last week I was so sick.............10 more sessions to go every Thurs bleh:( I do hope you drop by my gallery I don't post much due to my health.......Last one was Easter and it was a poem.......... Again great pic...and you have a great gift with animals I think I do too..........only mine are dogs and cats.. Hope you drop by and see me in my gallery This is a fav with me View more later when I have more time Hugs Susan

Superb macro of one of my wife's best loved creatures, Cheri. Well captured. May God bless you both. With encounters like this there is probably no lack of blessings you can thank Him for. Warm regards, well about 13C / 55F anyway, here in Glasgow - icy winds, hail stones and torrential rains yesterday - today I walked about without my winter jacket. Maybe it will continue, John.

And you got the nectar sipping proboscis too! This is stunning. These people avoid me, but I suspect it's because word got out that I hang out with yellow-jackets and so it's obvious that I'm to be avoided, since yellow jackets have that particular, apparently well-earned reputation. All of that notwithstanding, I really like this shot and the face-on, spread-winged stance your little model has taken. I have yet to get many good butterfly shots,, but I suspect a few yellow jackets will make their presence known this summer. I love the light in this and the fact that the antennae look as if they have little light bulbs on top.
