Description

Studying light and shadows and comparing various rendering engines. Rendered in DAZ Studio 4.5 using 3Delight. Trying to go for realism. Everything in the scene is a 3d model there is no backdrop photo. Only post work was to resample. The model is sold at DAZ called The Arc which is a work of Stonemason. It is a futurestic model. This will be my last render with 4.5 as I upgraded to 4.6 and am currently doing a test render with the 4.6 version.

My first thought was "Massive!" i had not bought most Si Fi models as the textures looked cartoony and lighting them is too hard. but you have done very well here.

True realistic. Although I have never seen a spaceship, engine room, submarine or similar visited - but so roughly I imagine it.

Yeah, 3Delight does a pretty good job of refracted light or is it actually proper radiosity ? either way, kool result and you can't beat Stefan's models for reality ! Like to see an indoor version though, as I always thought of the "Arc" as part of a space crafts interior, just a suggestion. ~Cheers~
