Description
Captured 5/18/13, early AM, at our local I-5 freeway widening site.
Meandered down to the area adjacent to the freeway, and with Saturday being a nonwork day for the individuals on this project, I proceeded to freely snap fotos while stepping and stumbling around the equipment.
These CAT behemoths sell used for $100,000 and up.
I believe the ladies would rather look at flowers instead.
Incidentally, I didn't notice it at first when I was at the site, but there is someone crawling on the dirt down at the lower left of photo #5.
Cheerybye, and have a nice day.

Nice capture of the machine. I used to work for a facility that sold parts and used equipment. This is a pretty common size model; now the mining excavators by comparison are supposed to be huge.

Excellent series of shots of this big beast; lots of them around here right now as they're clearing a big swath to expand our lanes on the freeway through this area. Great details, and I wonder of those are branches or roots on the ground? Or body parts? Great work, Harry!

You said "someone" is crawling on the dirt. I don't seem to see it. Image #5 lower left ??? Anyhow, nice collection of shots of this caterpillar. I recalled businesses ,small homes, and i believe it had a hotel standing there. Now all you can see is a leveled dirt lot. Good Job
