Description

The Ducky principle, baptized by Elias Rain, is based on the principle that Albert Smooks gave already in 2007, when he describes how to break the spriral tyranny of escape fractals. He was not the first one, the eldest 'Ducky' I saw was from Titia van Beugen, in 2004. But 'there is no free lunch'; another tyranny replaces it: that of symmetry. So we have to find a balance between spirals and symmetry, or to apply artificial tricks to avoid them. My question is, can the Ducky pattern be broken? Yes it can, although symmetry always remains. There even are many ways to do so, but one is so far away from the original Ducky that I gave it another name: 'Lucky'. I still have to do a lot of work on the Lucky formula, but here one of the first results. In this one I didn't try to avoid any symmetry, it's almost the well known D4 symmetry. Almost, because in a closer look you can detect that it has 'only' D2, both horizontally and vertically.

Interessante tekstbegeleiding !
