They have known each other since before Buster became a 'Caring Canine': Christina used to come to the beachhut before a stroke left her mainly bedridden and peg-fed. She still has all her mental capacity

What a great image. So warm and full of emotion. It must be so frustrating to be mentally sharp but have to live with the fact that parts of you no longer work very well. At least Christina has her friend to keep her company.
