On the way in Shea told Maeryth some of what had happened on the ship, with additions by Bellana and Chuck. Alba didn't want to talk about it. Not yet. Maeryth got the crew settled in the living room, and the servants came with plates of fruits, breads, cheeses and bottles of various liquors. "Faeara is well known for it's wines, meads and other beverages, as well as our breads and cheeses. Our beverages are very popular with everyone. Watch out for the one in the red bottle there. It has...calama...how do you say, Na'Alba?" "Calama are like chilis - very hot ones. Sip slowly and take bread and cheese," Alba winked, helping herself to some of the later. "Oh my goodness! That wall is absolutely gorgeous! Are those mirrors?" Bellana gasped. She referred to the wall behind the dining table, moving closer to see it. "Faeari glass, Bellana. Also highly prized by Turanians everywhere. The house is full of it. Our mother loved it. Please have a seat by the fireplace and wait. We will have dinner in awhile. Shea, Alba I want to take you to see Maeryn." "Your brother? He's here?" Shea asked. "He came back to live here last year - again. I am glad. I missed him and I feel safer with him around. You remember Maeryn, don't you Alba? He used to come with our father to the court in Torna-Blas...?" Alba laughed abruptly, suddenly realizing who Maeryth's brother was...the Arch-Magus of Turan! "Oh, I could not forget! He scared me when I was a girl." "He behaved badly?" "No, there was just something about him...he was so intense! The Arch-Magus! Shea...? Maeryn is the Arch-Magus of our world." The way she said it implied more. "Then by all means!" Shea said. He turned back to the others now seated in the living room. "You all stay put until we come back! That's an order. You never told me your brother was the Arch-Magus, Maeryth." "I never told you a lot of things, Shea," Maeryth smiled tightly. "Come, let us go see Maeryn. Bayeri," she said to the older of the two servants, "will you be sweet and bring the same up to Maeryn's study? Thank you." "Of course, my lady!" ***** Too many different things to list separately were used in this, but there's some DM stuff, Dream Home stuff (DAZ), and various bits and pieces from RDNA's "Fantasy Banquet" freebie, and DAZ's "The Tavern", etc. The mirrored wall was created and textured by me using Designfera's "Glass Walls".
