Commencé fin du 19eme siecle, cet ascenceur à bateau qui fait partie d'une serie de 4 a ete mis en service en 1917. Classé au patrimoine mondial de l'Humanité, ces ascenceurs sont toujours en fonctionnement. (La Louviere - Belgique)

I wonder how large a boat they could left. Nice shot!

Les bateaux qui peuvent prendre cet ascenceur sont des bateaux de 39 metres de longueur et 5 metres de largeur maxi. Ils peuvent charger jusque 400 tonnes de marchandise.
