Description

In the north of Heidelberg on the edge of the forest there is this old sandstone quarry. It was used until about 200 years ago. Many old buildings in the area were built of stones from here, for example, the Mannheim Castle. Meanwhile, the nature has recaptured some again. Thanks for viewing.

wonderful textures in the rockface. We visited Heidelberg during our recent travels in Germany. I didn't realise thats where you lived otherwise we could have possibly met up. Oh well next time perhaps
