Touching and heart-rending capture; every stone in every cemetary like this stands for a life lost...sad and beautiful sacrifices made so we could live free! Never forgotten... Wonderful tribute, Harry!

I wanted to comment on both your tributes to soldiers since I left, and this one was very moving. I know there are many shots out there of the sweep of cemeteries, but there was something about this one---maybe the gentle rolling hills and how they make a 'quilt' of the graves, or the beautiful patterns you gave us from this angle: The shot feels like a vast blanket placed upon the fallen, to protect them from all harm. Very touching and loving, a capture I think only one who has been there (in war) could give us. Touching and beautiful; and a bow to you as well for that day. (I wanted to say something on the day, but didn't; but I felt it all the same: So, a number of days late, I'm saying it at last.)
