Description

A corn poppy (papaver rhoeas) from the beautiful garden of a friend. In Persian literature, red poppies are considered the flower of love & more specifically represent people who died for love. First of several photos I took in her garden last week that I will be posting. Please zoom...

This is stunning. I can see, quite easily, that this is all about the color, and when colors are this beautiful and this poetic, why focus anywhere else!? I really like the DOF as well, and the poppy is the perfect showcase. This is making a trip into my favorites.
