Description
another painting 18 x 20 inches. in acrylic.
I never learn how to dance. I tried but people made jokes and all. I try to get women to teach me but they say no.
now my knees bad so that how it goes. i like to watch people dance.
I took this painting up to the gallery and another artist was coming in with his wife. he was there to see about joining up with the gallery. his wife looked at the painting and then told me she was taking photos of people legs as they was dancing and her husband told her to stop taking photos of legs. She was mad and her poor husband wish to find a hole to climb in lol. They both like the painting and sees it as art now..
you have a wonderful day and if you do dance go and do it this week end as later in life you be too old to do it.

Your painting always leaves me without words. Then, as the words come, it's hard to get them out. There's such motion in this shot---I don't mean the actual legs moving, I mean the spirit you pick up, and how you make the whole painting dance with it. Your floor rushes with waves. Your yellows and oranges are so vital. Then the legs themselves, flesh and dark all painted together, like silhouettes. And the legs make waves in the air and floor---I mean, there are these waves of energy around them. Then that big blue leg---those blue pants are so vivid and bright, it's like a blast into the painting. Really, this is so alive and so dancing, it jumps off the canvas---and yet all you painted was 'legs'. If you can get that much power in a few legs on a dance floor, you know how to paint! Wonderful work, Jock. And alive as can be, as always.
