Ich habe schon mehrfach geäußert, dass eines meiner Lieblingsmotive alte Auto Wracks sind. Bilder von Autofriedhöfen faszinieren mich. In Deutschland gibt es keinen einzigen Friedhof dieser Art. Auch darf man bei uns keine Autos einfach in der Umgebung abstellen. Bußgeld und Verschrottungskosten sind die Folge. In der Schweiz gab es einen wirklich idyllischen Autofriedhof. Leider bekam die Gemeinde 2009/10 den Räumungsbefehl. So bin ich seit jeher auf der Suche nach coolen alten abgestellten Oldtimer. Auf unserem Weg nach Flagstaff sollte mein Wunsch in Erfüllung gehen. Hier entdeckten wir in Dolan Springs (Arizona) einen Auto Schrottplatz. Auf einem riesigen Areal stehen alte Auto Wracks aller Fabrikate von Baujahren bis 1928. Der Besitzer erlaubte uns einen fotografischen Rundgang....Einige Oldies werde ich euch ab und zu präsentieren. Die Modelle sind mir nicht alle bekannt. (Ich habe ja schon Schwierigkeiten mit den hiesigen Autos *LOL*) Aber da vertraue ich auf euch.... ================================================== I have on several occasions that one of my favorite motifs are old car wrecks. Pictures of Car cemeteries fascinate me. In Germany there is no single cemetery of this kind may. Also simply leave us with no cars in the area. Fines and scrap costs are the result. In Switzerland, there was a really idyllic Junkyard. Sorry, got the community 2009/10 Eviction. So I'm looking for cool old vintage car parked ever since. On our way to Flagstaff my wish should come true. Here we discovered in Dolan Springs (Arizona) a car junkyard. On a huge area there are old wrecked cars of all makes of construction until 1928 back. The owner allowed us a photographic tour .... Some Oldies I'll present you. The models are not all known to me. (I have already difficulties with the local cars * LOL *) But I trust the car lovers among us... ** please zoom **

I like these wrecked cars too. I have also seen (and photographed) some of them when travelling in west USA, specially in rural areas like Idaho, Wyoming, Montana... Nice shot!

Nice. Very nice. As for the vehicle, I believe that is a Ford panel truck circa 1948-50. I think it is the 1950 F-1 model, as the grill seems to be from that year. I could be wrong about the precise year though; it may be a year or two earlier. From the writing on the side, it looks to have lived its life as a milk truck. I remember those milk trucks. I believe they were also used for ambulance service in Los Angeles back then. Ciao, Rube
