Description

Of all my object creations this is by far the coolest. I will be making a floor to match it. And a computer console. L8r

Totally wild! This would make great wallpaper (hint hint :)). How did you do this? I love the texture on the columns? Maybe you should put a tiny person next to one of the columns to impress that this is a massive mainframe.

I think the light on this setup was the hardest cuz i couldn't put a lightsource on every cube on every side.. the processing power was just to much so i only did the odd cubes with lights.. which worked out great to get the right effect. And the surface texture is a compilation of text, circuit patters, lines, and noise. Then i just used a finely adjusted transparency with ambience and specularity with little refraction. Im prolly making this too easy for you now but thats how it was done.. Then its just waiting for it too render thats a problem.. 1.2 hours for the render using bryce 5.. only post work was some image cropping. - james

Awesome stuff! 1.2 hours is a waiting problem? Relax! I'd love to see some work of yours where you let it render all night, at least! Put all those lights in, and maybe compare the two? Cool idea, beautiful execution...
