Description

Yes, this seems similar to one I posted last year, but it is not the same. This is a bigger version from same motif. I really liked the one I made last year, so I wanted to see if it was pure luck or not. Now I have proven to myself, that It wasnt just luck. I really am able to make a decent painting from this difficult motif. I am quite pleased with the result. ZOOM for better details. Have a great week. The sun was so lovely very early this morning, so I went to the backyard taking shots of the POTATO field :) Lovely shadows of the lines, because i look from the east to west and the sun was southeast. Then I went to bed again LOL! Thank you for viewing and commenting :)

Oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhh! This is really super! I mean, seriously. I like the style you captured: it's romantic and yet there are tiny little hints of Impressionism, more like the mood of it than the physical bits. This pulls me in and it's such a wonderful place to visit and spend some time! I really love every part of this.

Oh goodie! I'm so glad you discovered you can really paint! LOL! (My dear friend, I could have told you that five years ago!) You have a very special talent, and it's always a joy to see what you're up to. :)

It is very hard, Helle, when I come to your gallery, planning to comment on two images and find myself in a quandary as to which ones to choose. While I really want to comment on your image from Jock's picture, there are some images that are getting very near to being on a new page. With your propensity to download wonderful posts, I am very likely not to get to a previous page! Do you not feel guilty for causing such a dilemma. lol. I've decided to leave Jock's for later, and cheat a little, by commenting on 3 close together a bit further down. After that long preamble, I begin with this one. Beautiful! I always love your paintings! I love the lighting here, the blue tones in the shade (both in the water and in the distance) and the warm yellow tones in the sunlight. I like the bits of yellow in the plants in the foreground, and how the shade and closer proximity, gives a greater detail to the lily pads in the foreground. Beautiful reflections and shadows. The water is wonderfully done. I spent a while gazing at it. Marvelous painting!
