Description

My son was pretty young during the Jurassic Period but asking him to sit in the bushes with all these guys around him was asking a bit much. Background image from an old magazine.

I love the smaller raptor sorts of critters in the dinosaur world (deinonycus "terrible claw" was among my favorites...I happen to like most of the thecodonts and the odder, ostrich-like struthiomimus sorts of critters too.) I never really thought much of the mighty T. Rex, since their forelimbs were too small for use, but that's just me. Now, as for this image: I love it. There's so much to see, quite a dense population of critters. Nice.

I found the background image in a magazine so I'm cheating a bit. My only input to the artwork was putting my son into the picture. That small images was taken nearly 20 years ago. I'm sure he remembers the shoot because he had no idea what I had in mind.
