Description

While at Thornybush Game Reserve recently, there were three female and two baby Njalas at the lodge the whole time. The adults were so tame and let us walk right past them. The babies were still a bit skittish and ran off for short distances when you approached. The male were seen around the waterhole a couple of times but unfortunately he remained too far for me to get a decent pic! The lodges are not fenced in. Guests may walk freely during daylight hours but at night you have to be accompanied by a member of staff to your room. Quite unreal and exciting! What an amazing photo! She looks as if she's smiling a bit: obviously aware that you're photographing her from her good side. I love the crisp, clarity of this shot and the more this reminds me that I really do have to get to that neck of the woods soon!
