Glad to see you caught a bit more of the pace car. Understandable to keep the factory paint if possible, but the inside of the hood is already done up.... I think he'd be better to find an O.E. distributor and original valve covers/air cleaner too if he is concerned about the value.

Crazy to worry about the value...get out and drive it! Reminds me of an uncle who bought an historical rifle and would not fire a round through it, instead he bought a replica to shoot. Crazy! Same people put seat covers over leather seats instead of enjoying them. Thank goodness you don't refuse to shoot your camera for fear of wearing out the lens with those pesky light rays!
