I think that the dark background in this image makes the colours just pop right out - I feel I'm looking out into space from the middle of the Indian Ocean.

I like it a lot the way it is. I disagree with you and don't think it's too dark at all. I think it might be possible to brighten the image but if it were mine I don't think I would although I don't think an even darker background would hurt.

In JWildfire, you can save the image with a transparent background. Then take it into a photo editing program like Photoshop or Gimp, which is free, and try different color backgrounds. It is fine the way it is!

A beautiful sparkling fantasy. As for correcting it, there should be an "edit" link that you can find a place to substitute another image.
