Today's posting is another Dragonfly. This is a female Common Whitetail. As is often the case with dragonflies, the female looks a lot different than the male. The common name refers to the male's white tail. It is the result of a white waxy secretion that his body produces. The wing patterns are also different between the male and female. Lee
