Description
I was feeling somewhat cynical this afternoon when I made this - that is to say taking the lyrics to the song in a cynical way, with all of what's been in the news lately and the current state of affairs.
Background wall from cgtextures, tarted up with a few bullet holes and some manipulation by me in PShop. The 'Obey' poster was given to me by an FB friend, and the 'demon' poster with it's many heads found on-line...it's an old block print from an old book. The posters have been 'distressed' in PShop.
I'd like to reiterate part of Art's comment here, while I'm at it, regarding the Tutorial image of last evening: How well this works is dependent upon the quality of the clothing mesh. That is, it works well with high quality clothing but not so much with the 'lesser' quality clothing.

For you and me?? wink So I'm not the only one in a cynical mood, huh? I'm kinda bummed because I start that #%^#@$%^$@#$^&&*%# accursed 3rd shift Sunday night. Gah. So my mood has been a bit dark as well. Oh well... At any rate - cynical or not - this is a great piece of art, Ray! It certainly reflects his mood, and "just what the #^^$# is going on?" thoughts. Excellent as always! I agree with yours and Art's consensus - the mesh will definitely have an effect on how well that works. Hope you have a great Sunday as well!

There's a story behind this image. It could easily fit in with your Tumbleweeds story. The lighiting is key in getting that cynical/sinister look. Great expression to convey the mood. Excellent portrait. The background came out very cool. The multi headed monster makes me think of the "Beast" in Rev John. It gives the image very apocolyptic feel with the obey making a totaliterian statement. It seems the political powers that be, throughout the globe, are trying to flex their muscles and we are sweat that is anoying and supposed to roll away, yet always come back with each bit of effort and stress. A constant unwanted inconvenience. We are reduced to a body cooling function that the host will die without, but the sweat does not benefit in return for the hosts minor inconvenience. Enough of that! Great pic!
