Just a little scene from the Hollow, in fall, when the Dragonfly Clan of Fae are getting ready for the Winter Sleep.
Happy Birthday Dear Toni, I think I'm a day late, but the wishes are just as hearfelt. Wishing you a wonderful year filled with creativity, good health, and friends and loved ones always near.

The lantern is made from bits of a bracelet which is made by Neoexcello, Danise sent me a photo, and as is my usual style, I cut it all apart and reassembeled it. (-:

it's been so long since I've commented here, I'm almost embarrassed to return. But when I left RR the last time, I said that, when I returned, I'd visit the people I still hadn't gotten to, and you were right at the peak of that list. I'm not back for more than a quick visit this time, but when I come back for longer, I'll comment on more than just one. But for now, I'll comment on this, and say that your work is always filled with magic and uplift. As is this beautiful image. First, I hope you're well, as you've been away from your gallery for a few months now: I hope all is well with you and your loved ones. As for your image (for Toni): It's beautiful. You meld photography with fantasy characters seamlessly; and also serious magic with joy and play. The fairy/angel is in black, but she appears not dark at all, but conferring/blessing. Also, she appears curious. She blends into the scene seamlessly; and you've placed her in a highly lit area, composed between a few high trees. Then, the locket or jewel on the left is unobtrusive, but magical. And the photo itself is beautiful: The light is so generous; and your postwork---which seems gentle---makes it just a little past 'real' and into magical...Subtly done. Light breaks through in the background, too; and your signature is well-placed with that beautiful intruding sign. I think this is a gentle 'hello' of an image, with lots of magic light everywhere; and where the fairy is so unobtrusive, it's as if we came upon her by surprise as she did her daily duties unnoticed by anyone. Beautiful image for your friend, and magical for summertime. We're now in August, when the summer gets golden and thick; and this has that feel, even though you posted it in June. I hope you're well, Rita; and when I return, I'll spend more time here. Beautiful work, as always! (I stopped faving because they need fixing, and I've been too lazy to contact the admins to fix it.
