What a fascinating window! I wonder the history of it. Is the gray slate (it looks like slate to me anyway) a later addition? It looks like scales on a coat of mail. The other thing I thought of was the Batman car or some other mechanical contraption that closes up tight for defense. I can imagine the window drawing in and the scales closing. Beautiful colors and detail. Great capture!

A great capture and a very charming window. This looks like the Story Book architecture that was popular in California during the 1920s. Think cottages in Snow White or Hansel and Gretel.
