Description

I was in Seattle on May 26th, the first anniversary of my sister's birthday since her death. I was with my mother, niece, and son. We decided the best way to spend the day was to celebrate some of the things that my sister loved, with a dollop of silliness thrown in. Leslie had a rich appreciation of the silly. We started off on the silliness right away, by going on a 'Ride a Duck' tour. It was a lot of fun. According to a sign on our Duck, our tour guide/driver/captain was named "Phlip" Dover. You can get an idea from that, the humor that flowed. Fortunately, he did not live up to this name and we stayed nice and dry. We screamed like mad fools anytime we saw another one of the ducks. Once Philp had us look the opposite way and yell and wave like crazy at the nonexistent Duck on the other side. This seem a tad confusing to the people in the duck we were passing. Later, a box was passed down the aisle with silly rubber toys like swords and cleavers (props for our mad waving and screaming). My mother was in the aisle sit and what did she hand me? . . . a plunger. Oh well, I laughed and pumped it in proper plunger fashion. It was a very silly and enjoyable start to our day. This is one of the other Ducks that we passed. We were much madder than they. I am taking a page from Brigitte's (blondeblurr) book and posting a series with the comments off, and then there will be a collage of them with the comments on at the end. I've got a lot of pictures of Seattle that I'd like to share and am hopelessly behind and slow on commenting. Don't fav unless you really want to, because there will be a chance to comment at the end of each series.
